Pakistan Air Force plane Crashes: Pilot Martyred Pakistan Times' Wire Service SARGODHA: A Pakistan Air Force fighter plane Mirage crashed Friday in Shaheenabad area near Sargodha, while its pilot Wing Commander Azhar Ismail S/o Ch. Muhammad Ismail embraced Shahadat. The incident took place in village 125 located in Southern part of Sargodha, said Regional Police Officer Sargodha Hamid Mukhtar Gondal. The plane caught fire immediately after crashing, he added. High officials of PAF, Civil Administration besides fire brigade and ambulances reached the site of the incident shortly after the crash. "The plane crashed in an open area causing no further casualties," RPO Sargodha said. Meanwhile, a PAF press release says; A Mirage aircraft of Pakistan Air Force on Friday crashed near Sargodha while its pilot embraced Shahadat. "Pakistan Air Force announces with great sorrow and grief that a Mirage fighter aircraft, while on a routine operational training mission, crashed 30 Kilometers South East of Sargodha," said the news release. "The pilot of the aircraft Wing Commander Azhar Ismael embraced Shahadat. No loss of life or property has been reported on ground. The crash apparently occurred due to technical malfunction.
