Raw video of arriving APL cargo ship passing under Oakland Bay Bridge in August 2007. Shot from near Embarcadero. I decide to post this following the unfolding disaster of Nov 7, 2007. The Cosco Busan was departing Oakland for South Korea when it struck a tower supporting the western suspension span of the Bay Bridge, cutting a 212-foot, 12-foot wide gash in the ship's side. About 58,000 gallons of heavy-duty bunker oil poured out of the vessel as it was moored near Treasure Island. A good recap of the initial incident can be found on SFGate.com: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2007/11/13/MN1QTB4I2.DTL
