Police in America investigating two child abductions in the 1980s have searched the home of a couple accused of kidnapping a girl and keeping her captive for 18 years. Detectives went through the property belonging to Phillip Garrido, looking for evidence into the disappearances of Michaela Garecht in 1988 and Ilene Mischeloff in 1989. Michaela Garecht's mother, Sharon Murch, said her hopes of finding out what happened to her daughter have never been higher. "I know that if Jaycee Dugard can be found alive and come home after 18 years, then my daughter can be found alive and come home after 18 years," she told reporters. Phillip Garrido and his wife Nancy have pleaded not guilty to the kidnapping of Jaycee Dugard in 1991.
