READ FIRST! This is a tale of obsessive love. Silas has been in love with Robert Langdon for as long as he can remember, and one day he sees him at a book-signing. His strange demeanour worries Robert, and as Silas starts stalking him and phoning him all the time, Robert becomes more and more afraid of what he might do. Then one day, Silas cannot contain himself anymore, and he throws himself at Robert, begging him to return his love. But then seeing Robert battered and bruised on the floor makes Silas realise what he has done, so he runs away and punishes himself for his awful deed. Robert, still shaken from the attack, goes to the police and they chase Silas, but he gets away. When the police tell Robert that they have failed to catch him he decides to try and move on with his life, and meets Sophie Neveu. They fall in love, and Silas, racked with jealousy, dreams of killing Sophie. Robert notices Silas watching them and, fearing for their safety, they catch the next flight out of the country, unaware that Silas is following them. And I don't want to give away the ending Enjoy!
