RETAIL: Competition Commission investigates dominance of supermarkets

Farmers and other food suppliers may have been intimidated into silence during an investigation into whether Britain's supermarkets are too powerful. The Competition Commission said many supermarket suppliers had been reluctant to provide its inquiry with evidence, because of fears of retaliation. But at the inquiry's halfway stage the commission stated it was not going to punish success.
