Yesterday Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi announced that taking into consideration the decision of the Committee on the Foreign Affairs, she is ready to submit the N 106 Resolution on the Armenian Genocide to the plenary session of the House of Representatives. 'Taking into consideration the fact that the Resolution is supported by the majority of democrats, we are inclined to see the US to recognize the Armenian Genocide,' added the Speaker. Referring to Turkey's intention to invade Iraq, Nancy Pelosi expressed viewpoint that this decision of Ankara has nothing in common with N 106 Resolution. Meanwhile, yesterday Turkish political figures, as well as common citizens organized demonstrations in Turkey expressing their complaint against the adoption of the N 106 Resolution at the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the US House of Representatives. People who gathered at the US Embassy building in Ankara cried out anti-American expressions. The same thing happened in Istanbul. Irritated Turkish public announced that 'the Armenian Genocide is a false, and this is Washington's recurrent trick. At the same time the official Ankara called back its ambassador from the US for, so called, 'consulting intentions.'' Turkey has already warned Washington. The political figures of the country prepare steps against the adoption of the N 106 Resolution by the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the US House of Representatives. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan during the telephone conversation with US President George W. Bush warned that the adoption of the Resolution will negatively influence upon Turkish-American relations. President of Turkey Abdullah Gul also hurried to make comments. If before the voting Turks were doing their bests against the approval of the document, now they have adopted another position trying to disqualify it. Abdullah Gul President of Turkey "The fact of the Resolution's adoption is non-acceptable. And it has no value for the Turkish people. Unfortunately, some political figures in the US ignored the appeals for right mind, and once again they have sacrificed the great issues to inter-political smaller tricks." The US diplomatic representation in Turkey has also appealed the citizens to evade the possible retribution of Turks taking into consideration the fact that the followers of Turkey's right-wing Labor Party gathered at the US Embassy. Turkish politicians also did not hide their disappointment, not excluding the possibility of stopping the activities of American companies in Turkey, as well as restricting the presence of Americans in 'Incirlik' Air Base. They have suggested Ankara to invade Iraq and kill Kurds. Anti-American viewpoints were expressed also by Turkish citizens. "I have never thought of the US as a friend country. They have always been seeming friends." "Imperialism or Imperialists can never be friends with such country as Turkey is." Azeri politicians have also expressed viewpoints. One of them -- Zardusht Alizade stated that by adopting the N 106 Resolution Washington in the whole world, and especially in Muslim countries has lost its reputation of a democratic country. He did not consider what happened to be a tragedy, saying that no one can urge Turkey to implement US Congress' decision. Politician Mubariz Ahmedoghli announced that in reply Ankara must recognize the genocide of the redskins committed in the US. Besides, he suggested the US Government to act against Washington and cooperate with Arabic states in order the US to lose its status of a superpower.
