
(NECN/ABC) - On Nov. 9th 1989 more than 10,000 East Germans crossed the Berlin Wall and entered West Germany, changing history forever. It was August, 1961, when the border between East and West Berlin was closed. A twelve foot cement barrier was constructed, devastating the city and separating families. ABC News Correspondent TJ Winick takes a look back at the event and the repercussions that are still being felt today.
