Reichstag arsonist belatedly acquitted

A Dutch communist activist who was executed in 1933 for allegedly setting fire to the German parliament has been pardoned 75 years later. The event was used as a pretext by Adolf Hitler to suspend civil liberties, thereby paving the way for Nazi dictatorship.
