Reform of the Common Organisation of the Market (COM) in the banana sector - 2006

The European Commission will adopt on 13/09/2006 the proposal for a reform of the Common Market Organisation for bananas. The new regime will change the aid scheme for bananas, which is currently based on a system of price-based payments which are not in line with the general rules of the CAP (Common Agricultural Policy).
