PHILADELPHIA -- A pair of armed robbers are on the loose in Philadelphia and their crime is caught on tape. The surveillance video captured pretty terrifying moments of employees at a southwest Philadelphia Dunkin' Donuts shop being held at gunpoint and ordered to empty the register. Police said that within seconds, two thieves stormed in and robbed a Dunkin' Donuts on the 400 block of N orth 63rd Street, Fox 29's Nefertiti Jaquez reported. "It's also the time they were about to close so I guess they probably figured there was no one there," said Det. John Druding of Philadelphia police. The bandits, who were caught on surveillance video Friday night, threatened two employees with a gun. "They came in at first with no mask on their faces," said Det. John Druding. Police said the first suspect pointed his pistol at a female worker and threatened to hurt her if she didn't hand over the money in the register. "They ask a female employee to open the register. She's unable too. He then goes over and has a male employee open the register. All the while the second male just stood as look-out," said Det. Druding. The thieves, police said, only netted $150-bucks, but they left behind a lot of fear. Nick Patel, the owner of the Dunkin' Donuts, said he just hopes someone notices the suspects. "They don't have masks on there. You can see in the surveillance video, said Patel. While police admit it's amazing that no one was injured during the robbery, Fox 29 News caught up with two friends who said they were there yesterday just minutes before everything went down. "It's a shame what happened," said the first man. "I feel very lucky, sure I do. And I'm happy I was able to get out of here before anything happened," said John Harris. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
