Beet won't be able to attend and we understand the event is sold out. But surely, there will be some developments from the day-long meeting. I've posted here my second, unpublished interview with Randy Rothenberg, who heads the IAB. He speaks about the imperative of standardization. A longtime chronicler of the advertising industry from his days as a New York Times reporter, Randy talks about the new opportunities surrounding online video. He says online videos can be valuable to viewers, calls some ads "service." Programming Note: It's Internet Week in NYC...and Next Week We're in Hollywood!
