(NECN: Josh Brogadir, South Boston, Mass.) - A South Boston tradition since 1901 is getting some extra attention from the city's finest. Add about 200 badges to the already steady show of 400 Boston police officers at the annual St. Patrick's Day parade. Police say last year the family friendly event was marred by public drunkenness and fights. Alex Bernardo, of Peabody, MA, out on a Saturday pub crawl for charity, said you expect that behavior on St. Pattie's in Boston.
