Progressive Outreach to the Military Truman National Security Project - Truman National Security Project Jon Soltz, Executive Director of IAVA PAC, speaks on progressive outreach to the military, part of the Truman National Security Project's Congressional Speaker Series. Soltz, an Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran discussed strategies for bridging the divide between progressives and the military and for connecting with progressive service members. The Truman National Security Project is a movement bringing together Democrats who believe in a foreign policy founded on strength and security, grounded in a strong military and active diplomacy, and committed to furthering the American ideals of freedom, dignity, and opportunity worldwide.
