President Obama's New Year message

Barack Obama has been wishing his countrymen a happy and healthy new year. He called it a hopeful time, celebrating the end of one year and the beginning of another. The president said 2009 was difficult, but he is looking forward to "brighter days ahead." He applauded his country for it's spirit and ability to "rise up and meet challenges" to keep the American dream alive.
