Positive Discrimination in Family Proceedings Equality minister Harriet Harman has set out plans to allow firms to discriminate in favour of female and ethnic minority job candidates. The plans, which will be adopted in England, Wales and Scotland, will also ban all age discrimination. Setting out the proposals in a Commons statement, Ms Harman said the bill would "address the serious inequalities that still exist" in the UK. At the same time the Family Law Society is holding a series of seminars in the Houses of Parliament, at the invitation of the Conservative party, to see what changes should or could be made to reform the Family Court System so that there is a 'presumption of both parents being equal'. But surely in any dispute regarding custody or access when parents separate the present system does not operate in favour of one parent over the other? http://www.eventoddlersneedfathers.com/
