POLITICS: General Election speculation: Tories accuse Gordon Brown of electioneering

The Prime Minister Gordon Brown made a speech in London on extra hours for GPs and extra spending in the NHS. He then officially opened the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre at Basildon University Hospital, as part of a visit to coincide with the publication of Lord Darzi's interim report on the future of the NHS. The hospital visit has been seen by some as campaigning and has further fuelled speculation of a November General Election.
