POLITICS / EDUCATION: Grammar schools: Conservative Party change policy again

A second senior Conservative has spoken out in favour of grammar schools following Tory leader David Cameron's condemnation of them as a barrier to social mobility. Dominic Grieve, the Shadow Attorney General, represents the seat of Beaconsfield in Buckinghamshire where a state selective education system still exists. On 29th May Conservative MP Graham Brady resigned from the front bench after criticising Cameron's policy. Conservative Party Education Spokesman Nick Gibb now says they might build new grammar schools on a case-by-case basis.
