POLICE: Murdered policeman receives posthumous award

Police Constable Patrick Dunne, a community police officer, was shot dead in 1993 after answering a routine call on his south London beat. Now PC Dunne has been awarded the Metropolitan Police's highest honour, a high commendation. Gangster Gary Nelson was jailed for life in January 2007 after being convicted of killing PC Dunne and William Danso.
