
(NECN/UK POOL) - British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Prince Charles attended a service of remembrance at Bayeux Cathedral on Saturday morning, as part of a series of ceremonies marking the 65th anniversary of the D-Day landings which turned the tide of World War II in the Allies' favor. Later, Brown and Prince Charles were to join other dignitaries including US President Barack Obama and French President Nicolas Sarkozy, at a ceremony at the American cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer on France's Normandy coast. read more
