Over sixty models show new fashions on open-air catwalks in historic downtown Lima. Peru's second annual fashion show 'Lima is in Fashion' dazzled viewers on Saturday (November 10) with an international group of designers presenting their creations to a distinctly Peruvian rhythm. Over 60 models from Peru, Brazil and Argentina sashayed down open-air catwalks in the historic center of Lima. Latin American brands on display included Rosa Cha from Brazil, Colombian lingerie-maker E&A and the swanky Argentine Ona Saez, with Argentine model Osiris Pombo drawing a few cheers. The event's organizers said they wanted to put the city on display. "Lima, being a colonial city with beautiful monuments, the idea was to exhibit fashion within the city, and so then came the slogan for the event, 'Lima is in fashion'," said the show's producer, Nino Penaloza. Other brands including Billabong, Xiome and Maui & Sons also showed off styles as the summer season in the southern hemisphere starts to heat up.
