
STRATFORD, Conn. (AP) - Metropolitan Transportation Authority police are investigating the death of a pedestrian who was struck by an Amtrak train in Stratford. Metro-North Railroad spokesman Dan Brucker says the train hit the person just after 4:30 p.m. Saturday near the Stratford station. The victim's name has not been released. Amtrak uses Metro-North's tracks. Brucker says the 230 passengers remained on the train as police and a medical examiner investigated. The train was headed from Boston to New York City. read more
