Panic At The Disco ditch Emo roots

Panic At The Disco have swapped their Emo roots for pop on their new album. The record entitled Pretty.Odd has already invited comparisons with The Beatles.Singer Brendan Urie said: "I don't know how I feel about the comparisons, whether its meant in a good or a bad way in the sense that we're ripping them off."Having said we are very inspired by them because they were a band that couldn't be defined by genre."The Vegas rockers also recently dropped their trademark exclamation mark from their band name. The band are renowned for a famous performance at Reading Festival in 2006 which saw Brendan knocked out onstage after he was pelted with a bottle.Pretty.Odd is out on March 24.© Independent Television News Limited 2008.
