Author Elizabeth Grossman, who writes about environmental issues, says if you just toss your old electronic devices away, the chemicals used in their production and use leak into the environment. Causing, some say, autism, Alzheimer's, cancers and other diseases. Most communities have recycling programs. But if yours doesn't, Grossman says, you should take time to purchase your electronics from a name brand manufacturer. All of which have reclamation programs. Where they will take back and recycle their discarded products on behalf of their customers. Grossman's comments came during an appearance on News Talk Online on Paltalk.com
