Pakistan Suicide Bomber Attack

Nov 1 2007, NTDTV news In Pakistan, six people are killed and another 40 wounded after a suicide attacker on a motorcycle rammed into an air force bus near the central city of Sargodha. The Pakistani military reports this is the second attack this week. The attacker was riding a motorcycle and rammed into the bus as it was taking personnel to Sargodha air base in the central province of Punjab. Pakistan has seen a surge in violence by militants linked to the Taliban and al Qaeda since the army stormed a radical mosque in Islamabad in July. In a separate attack on Tuesday, seven people, including the bomber, were killed less than a kilometer from the army residence of President General Pervez Musharraf in the garrison city of Rawalpindi. Scores of people have been killed in suicide attacks and fighting between the security forces and militants in Swat Valley in the North West Frontier province in recent days.
