This book is about years of America bringing about governmental change in many sovereign nations. This includes American complicity in the overthrow of democratic governments in places like Mossadeq’s Iran and Allende’s Chile. How and why did this start? What advantages did it appear to have? What have been the long term effects of this policy? All this and more will be explored in a 2 hour interview with Stephen Kinzer. Kinzer was formerly a foreign correspondent with the New York Times.
