Opel - GM: EU to scrutinize deal on state aid

The deal over European car maker Opel, a unit of General Motors, that is expected to materialize on Friday will be scrutinized for the proper application of state aid and for economic nationalism, said European Commission Vice President Gunter Verheugen at a press conference today.
