NRG Files License Applications with NRC for New Reactors at the South Texas Project

On September 25, 2007, NRG Energy filed license applications with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to build two additional reactors at the site of the South Texas Project in Bay City, Texas. In this clip, NRG President and CEO David Crane announces the applications, the first in the U.S. since 1978, at a press conference on Capitol Hill.
