Newton, MA community religious leaders hope to send strong message
(NECN: Stephen Iandoli, Newton, MA) - The city of Newton, Massachusetts has seen hate crimes more than double in the past year, and, community and religious leaders want it to stop. On Sunday, The Anti-Defamation League of New England participated in a community gathering to counteract the hateful message of a large swastika painted on the entrance sign of Temple Shalom in Newton. The incident, which took place last Saturday, left the city of Newton and the Jewish Community in shock due to the incredibly hurtful message the use of the Nazi symbol intended. read more
