New Ford Taurus exposed as G8 and 300C killer NEW NASCAR!!

Ford America executives were coy yesterday when forced to concede their plans to import the Australian Ford Falcon as the new replacement Taurus. Under the new plan the new Taurus will be 100% manufactured and designed in Australia, much like the Pontiac GTO and G8, both cars hailed as 'hallmarks' in American car history. High-level meeting minutes and the decision to give the financial go-ahead to Ford Australia to begin development of a LHD Falcon were leaked by an inner source, embarrassing the one of the biggest car makers into announcing their plans early. Also in the pipeline is a new works Nascar team, tipped by insiders to 'revolutionize' the sport. The racer version appears to much smaller and lighter than the current cars, rumours are flying that engineers and designs from the car's native country are being employed to bring fresh thinking to a traditionally slow-to-change sport. Two models of the road car will be available; the G6e, a luxury family saloon powered by a 350hp 4.0 turbo engine with 6-speed auto transmission, and the XR8, a 380hp V8 monster capable of sub-5 second 0-60mph times and a 12 second quarter mile.
