Yes, yes I can't upload this week. darn. just check rasenxshuriken for 391 on friday =] this chapter looks so intense!! I absolutely can't WAIT for 392. omg. There were a few translations that all basically said the same thing, but this is the one I liked best... サスケ「この術は天から降る雷。俺はあんたへと導くだけだ」 Sasuke: This jutsu lightning from the heavens. I'll I have to do is lead it to you. ゼツ「やはりそうか、だとしたら避けられるわけない。落雷はｾﾝﾌﾞﾝの一秒。音よりも早い！ Zetsu: Ah, I figured as much! There's no way to dodge it then, indeed. Lightning falls in one onethousand of a second. It's faster than even sound! サスケ「術の名は麒麟。」 Sasuke: It's called "Kirin" (Giraffe). (Edit: Doh! Yeah, it as a few posters below have pointed out, it's also a mythological creature. In my defense, it is technically the same word (kanji and all), but that would imply giraffes are named for Kirins - and not the other way around.) サスケ手を天にかざす！竜の形をした雷がイタチを襲う！ Sasuke raises his hand to the heavens. Lighting the shape of a dragon falls in Itachi's direction. サスケ「雷鳴と共に散れ！」 Sasuke: May your last breath be choked by thunder! Note: Lit. "Die as this lightning thunders." Kinda. Doesn't translate well into English, obviously, as it's a bit of a pun. 散る is to fall, as leaves fall from a tree, and thus metaphorically, to die. It also means to fall, scatter, and thus spread, which is what thunder, like any sound, does. I think that's what he means, anyway. This is why people are having trouble with the line, of course, but the point I want to make is that he's just saying "DIE YOU S.O.B!", albeit really dramatically. イタチにヒット！イタチ倒れる。 The lightning strikes Itachi! He collapses! ゼツ「イタチはシンだのか？」 Zetsu: Is he dead? サスケ「終わったぞ！」 Sasuke: It's over alright! サスケｼｬﾘﾝｶﾞﾝ消えて膝をつく。 Sasuke deactivates sharingan and drops to his knees (he's not sitting down so much as he's falling to his knees from exhaustion). イタチ「これがお前の再現したかった、死に様か？」 Itachi: So this is the death you'd envisioned for me... サスケ「！?」 Sasuke: WTF!? (ok, so the WTF is mine). イタチ起き上がる！ Itachi stands up! サスケ「くそがぁ！」 Sasuke: Dammit! (add the F word before "dammit" for an effect closer to the frustration - but not vulgarity - expressed by Sasuke in the original Japanese). 状態2になる！イタチの周りを鎧みたいなのが囲ってる。 Sasuke activates Cursed Seal Level 2! Itachi is enclosed by something like an armor. イタチ「これがなければやられてたな...サスケ本当に強くなったな...今度は俺の最後の切り札をみせてやろう。スサノオだ」 Itachi: If it weren't for this, I'd have been done for...you've indeed grown strong, Sasuke. Now let me show you *my* trump card: Susanowo*." *Another of the gods that comes out in the Tsukuyomi/Amaterasu myth. チャクラを失ったサスケに対抗の術は？ 次号決着へ Having lost his chakra, just what option remains to Sasuke!? Next issue: The conclusion! Note: If I'm not mistaken, the character 術, which is indeed read "jutsu" most of the time, is meant here to be read as "sube", which means "option" or "means." So it's not a reference to any jutsu, just to the fact that Sasuke's (ostensibly) lost the means to fight back.
