Nana weakens, new depression forms in Caribbean

MIAMI (AP) - The National Hurricane Center in Miami says a new tropical depression has formed over the eastern Caribbean even as what had been Tropical Storm Nana lost strength over the Atlantic. The new tropical depression is the 15th of the season and could strengthen into Tropical Storm Omar later Monday. As of 11 a.m. EDT, the new depression had top sustained winds near 35 mph.
