Mysterious Dungeon Shiren the Wanderer intro

First ten minutes of Mysterious Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer for Nintendo DS. Dungeon Crawlers have been making a small revival on the DS with games like Etrian Odyssey, Dungeon Explorer: Warriors of the Ancient Arts, Mazes of Fate, and now Shiren. This cute throwback to the days of yore explores gamers continued interest in roguelikes-those ancient games of number crunching and resource management with minimalistic graphics. Shiren comes with a bit more graphical power than it's grandparents but still offers the challenging resource management and chess-like movement planning that are absent in many of todays RPG's. Similar titles on the DS have been Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja, Tao's Adventure: Curse of the Demon Seal, and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. Shiren offers some of it's own unique features with a melding jar making it possible to create a very large amount of items and a Wi-Fi feature that lets you "Rescue" other Wanderers. Mysterious Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer was released on March 4th, 2008.
