Musical role for Hugh Grant

Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore have teamed up for a new movie Music and Lyrics premiering in London.Grant stars as Alex Fletcher, an 80's pop star with a second chance at the big time, when he's given the opportunity to write a song for a pop diva.However Fletcher has no experience of writing lyrics and the laughs begin when Drew Barrymore enters as Sophie, who waters Fletcher's plants and has a flair for words. The two begin a collaboration to find all the right notes and words.Grant admits he had reservations about playing the part: "The main impediment to me doing the film was that I coudn't sing and coudn't dance and didn't know anything about music..."In the end they persuaded me it could be fixed. With the right teachers and the right computers, it can all be fixed."In fact I actually enjoyed it by the end.
