Prince William's girlfriend Kate Middleton has made a formal complaint over a picture which has appeared in a tabloid. The Press Complaints Commission (PCC) said it has been contacted in connection with a photograph in Thursday's edition of the Daily Mirror.A spokesman for the PCC said: "The Press Complaints Commission has today received a formal complaint from Kate Middleton that a photograph of her in today's Daily Mirror was obtained as a result of harassment in breach of Clause 4 (Harassment) of the Code of Practice."The image shows Miss Middleton, 25, wearing sunglasses, clutching a takeaway coffee cup and her car keys as she heads to work.In January, she was confronted with a media scrum outside her home on her birthday and her lawyers, Harbottle & Lewis, said they would use footage of the paparazzi's activities to support evidence of her harassment.Royal aides have revealed that Prince William wants "more than anything" for photographers to stop harassing his long-term girlfriend.Recently, Miss Middleton was spotted in the royal box on Gold Cup day at the Cheltenham Races without Prince William. The second-in-line to the throne is in Dorset pursuing the next stage of his Army career.© Independent Television News Limited 2007. All rights reserved.
