Miami Ink, "Kat's in the Groove"

As the shop comes together, all the Miami Ink artists want to show off the huge accomplishment. Visits from family members reinforce their commitment to their work and to each other. Nunez invites his mom to the shop to see it for the first time. They mark the occasion in a non-conventional way- Mom turns the tables on her son and she tattoos him. Nunez also flies his sister, Christina, out to Miami to check out the shop. They haven't seen each other in 8 years and the reunion is long overdue. His normally conservative sister decides to get a tattoo from her brother- lovebirds on her lower back. Darren continues to nurse his broken elbow but a promising diagnosis has him getting back to the needle. He calls in his old friend and reoccurring client, Alex to try out his inking arm. Darren's wife, Carolina, gets a tattoo of the Virgin Mary for her birthday from Kat. Kat's husband, Oliver, gets a tattoo from his talented wife. Oliver is a tattoo artist as well and has a full body suit. Kat tattoo's one of the last spaces left on his body- right below his right butt cheek. Jonathan and his family suffered a great loss when their newborn died hours after the delivery. To help heal their broken hearts, Kat tattoos a baby cradled in the hands of God. Papo wants to have his music group's emblem tattooed on his back as a symbol of his devotion to the project.
