The head of Scotland Yard's counter terrorism has retired from the Metropolitan Police Force. In recent weeks Assistant Commissioner Andy Hayman had been facing allegations about his expenses claims and his decision to take a female police officer on business trips. There are now new and separate allegations that he had been in intensive contact with an official at the Independent Police Complaints watchdog. Sources have alleged that he has never declared making 400 calls and texts to a female member of staff at the IPCC as it was about to report its findings about the police killing of Jean Charles de Menezes.
