Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG: Kelley Blue Book's First Look

Temporary insanity can sometimes be a good thing, especially when it comes to decisions involving displacement. Such is the case at Mercedes, where the people in charge green-lighted production of a 451-horsepower C-Class that they claim is capable of sprinting to 62 mph in 4.5 seconds. The powertrain making it happen comprises a 6.3-liter V8, seven-speed automatic transmission and limited-slip rear differential. Other distinctions include a twin power dome hood, bigger brakes, high-performance suspension and sport seats. The C63 AMG is scheduled to arrive in Spring 2008 at prices starting around $60,000.
