(NECN/WFLD: Gary, Ind.) - A day after the death of pop superstar Michael Jackson, a makeshift memorial took shape outside his boyhood home. Jackson, the seventh of nine children, was born and raised in Gary, Indiana. His father, Joe Jackson, formed Michael and his four brothers into a singing group -- The Jackson Five. Jackson and his brothers were "discovered" by Diana Ross in 1969 and the rest, as they say, is history.
