MEDIA: Rupert Murdoch acquires Wall Street Journal owner Dow Jones

Rupert Murdoch has expanded his vast media empire with the world's leading financial newspaper, the Wall Street journal. His News Corporation paid around 2.5 billion pounds for the Dow Jones company, after finally winning over enough support from the family which owns a controlling interest. Journalists and other shareholders have already raised fears about the paper's editorial independence.
