
(NECN) - John McCain is dismissing poll numbers that show him trailing against Barack Obama. He tells NBC's "Meet The Press" that his campaign is doing fine and that it has pulled closer to Obama's. Recent polls have shown McCain trailing Obama both nationally and in some of the battleground states, including Iowa where McCain is campaigning Sunday. McCain says it is a close race, and insists he will be on top come November 4th. He also rejected the notion that his running mate, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin isn't qualified to be president and is hurting the campaign. read more
