Puttanna Kanagal is one among the best directors in Kannada film industry, and is the director of this movie. Although majority of his films were on offbeat or taboo subjects, he endeared both to the critics and ordinary film goers alike. Puttanna could not complete the movie, which was finished by KSL Swamy. This song has a very good play of light and shadow, which mirrors the changes in the life of a human being.The edited portion starts with a monochromic appearance, then onto sepia tone and cycling around the entire spectrum, in order to accentuate the master's vision. This play of light and shadow in original is clear in the scenes of the bungalow, shot during night.
