These video stockshots include some archive pictures of maritime accidents, as well as the disaster of the "Prestige" and the most recent "Tricolor". More pictures are provided on the fight against sea oil pollution, pictures of the "Nautile" submarine blocking the oil leaks on the "Prestige" but also other boats pumping out oil on the French coast coordinated by the "D'Entrecasteux", mixed expert groups cleaning the beaches, a Bird Care Centre where birds impregnated with oil are cleaned and saved from death. As regards the control and prevention measures, you'll find pictures of maritime traffic and the Gris-Nez Centre for traffic control, public and private boat inspections, regulatory cleaning of oil tanks in the boats at port, and the recently inaugurated European Agency for Maritime Safety.
