Maersk crew homeward bound; another U.S. ship attacked

(NECN/ABC) - Captain Richard Phillips and his crew of the Maersk Alabama return home on Wednesday. They are scheduled to arrive at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland and will likely meet with President Obama on Thursday. The crew had been staying in Mombasa, Kenya, while Phillips has remained aboard the Navy destroyer U.S.S. Bainbridge. Even as we got our first look at the lifeboat Captain Phillips was held hostage on for five days, another American ship was targeted by Somali pirates. Rocket propelled grenades and automatic weapons were fired at the Liberty Sun on Tuesday. read more
