Leto's tour comes to UK

American actor and musician Jared Leto is in Britain promoting his band.Leto is the vocalist and guitarist of the highly successful rock band 30 Seconds to Mars.Their album, A Beautiful Lie, went gold last year in the US after selling 500,000 copies. It gets a full European release later this month.The group consists of Jared's brother, Shannen, on drums, Matt Wachter on bass and Tomo Milicevic on lead guitar.Leto said: "Everyone from Jeff Bridges to the cast of Lost have bands, but I never felt any kinship to any of those people, people who tried to make music and failed - people who had been dilettantes or hobbyists."The band got together in 1998 but have never used Leto's name in their promotions.There were no photographs, and concert promoters were forbidden from placing Leto's name on posters and concert listings.© Independent Television News Limited 2007.
