Laurent Blanc steps down as French coach

France's Laurent Blanc (pictured) is not renewing his contract as manager of Les Bleus, the French Football Federation said Saturday after mounting speculation. France made it to the Euro 2012 quarter-finals but lost to defending champions Spain.
