Kenya - Mau Mau Uprising

Opposition against British colonial rule in Kenya culminated in the Mau Mau uprising, which began in 1952. The political changes that took place after independence in 1963 had important consequences for Asians living there. Film clips taken from Mau Mau, showing Kenya during the Mau Mau uprising, made circa 1954. The British commentary encapsulates colonial attitudes of the time.
