Kenshin Dragon Quest - Stage 1

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenshin_Dragon_Quest:_Yomigaerishi_Densetsu_no_Ken Square Enix's Kenshin Dragon Quest: Yomigaerishi Densetsu no Ken is a toy based on the popular Japanese Dragon Quest video game series that connects to a person's television set.[1] "Kenshin" is the Japanese word for "Swordgod." The game's ROM is located on an item that resembles a shield. To save a game in process, the person must use a memory card that looks like a book, which is inserted into the shield. In order to play, the player uses a toy sword to fight off monsters, cast spells, and for every other input needed by the system. Slashing the sword in different directions (horizontal, diagonal, vertical) will cause different effects and damage to enemies encountered. Kenshin's spiritual sequel is Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors and the game's technology is later adopted for two other video games, The Lord of the Rings: Warrior of Middle Earth and Star Wars Saga Edition Lightsaber Battle Game.
