Hosted by NJN News Correspondent Desiree Taylor, the best and brightest debate teams square off on the issue of whether cultural or political restrictions placed on the right of access to humanitarian aid are unjustified. This is the 15th year NJN has partnered with JPMorgan Chase and the New Jersey Department of Education, Division of Educational Services, to produce this lively competition. Participation in the debates is open to all New Jersey high school students. In a day-long competition, forty-two schools faced off in four preliminary rounds for the chance to compete for the trophy at the finals competition taped at NJN’s studio in Newark on May 31. Funding for the JPMorgan Chase Lincoln Douglas debates provided by JPMorgan Chase.
