The Huskies ’ power forward is finishing his career at Washington as the all-time leading rebounder and the second leading scorer. He wanted to be a star at home so he turned down Coach K and Duke . Take a tour of U-Dub with him on the Jim Rome show and see why the longtime and now retired Washington coach Marv Harshman says: “If you didn’t have him, you wouldn’t win too many.” Brockman’s team plays before what will surely be a home crowd 3 hours south of Seattle in Portland, OR against Mississippi State . If Brockman had gone to Duke, he would have made four tournament appearances and been the teammate of our Dookie of the day, point guard Jon Scheyer . Scheyer’s Carolina rival, the clutch Ty Lawson of UNC has been injured and may not even make their opener tomorrow in Greensboro against Radford . But if the Tar Heels are to make a run, his presence is required—by the President , no less.
