International lingerie maker Triumph unveiled Wednesday (November 08) what it calls its answer to how to tackle the global warming: an eco-friendly bra. The bra called "No plastic bag bra" is made of recycled polyester and can be transformed into a shopping bag when taking off it from your body and unfolding its pads. And if it is not enough, you can clearly tell grocery shop staffs that you are in a anti-global warming camp by showing the card which is attached on its matching underpants saying "No more plastic bag for shopping". "We made this bra to raise people's awareness of the effort to decrease plastic shopping bags which had been mass-consumed more than was necessary." said Asako Iwahashi, spokeswoman for Triumph International. "In my first impression, it is very light because it doesn't have wires in it. It fits me quite naturally." added 21-year-old model Erisa Nakayama. The company has no plan to mass market the bra for they don't want to embarrass conservative people by showing them some women taking off their bras just to buy a bread or something in and around grocery shop. Japan is known as one of the biggest consumer of plastic shopping bags which has wasted oil resources when produced and eventually contributed to global warming. According to recent statistics, Japan consumes more than 30 billion plastic bags a year and one third of them are dumped without being recycled.
